Kabar magazine
Work HoursMonday-Friday. Work hours are relaxed. Interns usually spend the morning (8.30-12.00) in the office and then go out to do interviews in the afternoons (or vice versa). Various event invitations (daytime or evening) will land on the desk of Kabar that students will be sent out to cover. Intern Duties
Specific requirementsA laptop is preferable. Kabar has a limited number of desktops and a small office. Students are welcome to work from home on various assignments. Location and getting thereThe Kabar office is located in Kemang in South Jakarta. Kemang is the trendy southern hub of Jakarta where you can find high end restaurants, bars and boutiques. Students can either choose to live in Kemang or commute from areas such as Benhil. The closest busway route to this area is that which runs down to Ragunan. Hopping off at the Buncit will then necessitate a short ojek ride across to Kemang. An ojek from Benhill will take 20-30 minutes but a taxi will take well over an hour in peak hour. Jl. Kemang Raya can become awfully jammed.
