Indonesian BathroomsIndonesian bathrooms vary considerably from basic
to luxurious. Below is a selection of bathrooms from the boarding houses (kos)
where ACICIS students have stayed in recent semesters. Most have sitting toilets
but few have western showers. The normal method of bathing is to use the scoop
to pour water over oneself. The water is almost always cold, which makes it a
very brisk shower first thing in the morning, but very refreshing in the middle
