The ACICIS mailing list
ACICIS is happy to accept suitable posts to the list from any person or organisation. If you would like to be included or post to the list, please contact the secretariat: acicis@murdoch.edu.au FeedbackThushara Dibley (PhD Candidate, University of Sydney, May 2011) "The response I got to my request for volunteer Indonesian language translators for a small project with an Australian NGO was phenomenal. My brother, a previous ACICIS student, suggested I send an email to the list, and I initially thought that if I was lucky I might get one or two people replying. Within 24 hours I had about 20 people emailing to say they were interested, and the emails kept trickling in over the next week. With so many people willing to help, the NGO was able to get the translation done very quickly. Thanks so much to the team at ACICIS for helping out!" Sophie Chan (Curtin University of Technology, May 2011) "As a past ACICIS student I've continued my Asian Studies major with a research paper. I forwarded my research survey to the ACICIS staff to do my survey. They were more than pleased to not only do the survey but forward it to people on the ACICIS Alumni emailing list. This resulted in an amazing amount of people responding to the survey and also contacting me personally to express their opinions further. The ACICIS Alumni emailing list was the ideal way to contact people with an interest in LOTE education and Indonesian language and cultural studies. They are all very passionate and keen to express their opinions. I couldn't have expected a better result from using the ACICIS Alumni emailing list and thanks to the ACICIS staff who are always willing to help."
